NEO-RECOVERY: THE YELLOW WALLPAPER
2019. After sharing on Tumblr & adapting for Instagram, the original Recovery Archive has transformed. I have since revisited & corrupted the initial slides, plus supplementary text from my various blogs.
I’ve always been taken with glitch art, digital noise, & the overall “corruption” of imagery — both as an aesthetic & a state of being. Following my 2014 Sensory Swarm series, inspired by the aesthetics & philosophy of The Walrider / The Swarm, I paired Outlast’s aesthetics (along with screenshots from other horror games) with The Yellow Wallpaper, a classic short story… I painfully relate to all too well.
